Icheon is famous for its
pottery and rice. It is known as having the most fertile land in the
country. It is also the leading center for the preservation and
exhibition of traditional Korean pottery, and hosts a pottery festival
every year. Its picturesque mountain layers also contain within them
such beautiful spots as alkaline natural hot springs.

Jisan Forest Resort
Address : San 28-1 , Haewol-ri, Majang-myeon, Icheon-si,
Gyeonggi-do
Description :
Jisan Forest Resort, which is 40 minutes from Seoul, is made
with a full-line European style which comes smoothly down the
mountain. The merit of a ski resort which faces north is that it can
easily maintain the quality of snow, as well as its new snow removal
machine and management systems. Jisan Resort can avoid many of the
difficulties of weather problems as well as being able to maintain
the best quality of snow. Especially, it has completely opened up
its slopes to snow boarders for the first time ever within the
vicinity of Seoul. It is planning to expand the slopes separately
for infants, beginners and visitors from southeast asan countries.
Directions :
The bus runs every 10-20 minutes from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal.
Take this bus and get off at Icheon. Then take Bus No. 12 from
Icheon and get off at Jisan Resort.

Icheon Ceramics Village
Address : Gyeonggi-do > Icheon-si > Saeum-dong
Description :
Icheon Ceramics Village makes traditional Korean ceramics, and
represents Korea in the quality ceramics it produces. The village
became the center of traditional pottery because the materials for
good pottery was easy to obtain in these areas. Icheon Ceramics
Village was also the center of Joseon Baekja ceramics a long time
ago. Presently about 80 pottery factories are congregated at the
village, and about 300 pottery kilns are in use. Visitors can have
tours on the pottery production process, and buy pottery directly.
It is worth while to see the works of these potters who have been
named Living Cultural Treasures of Korea for creating the highest
quality works of art. Not only are the traditional Cheongja,Baekja,
and Buncheong pottery produced here, but you can also see pottery
for today. The Haegang Ceramics Art Center is the only ceramics Art
Center in Korea, and you can learn a lot about ceramics here. One of
the must-see events at Icheon Ceramics Village is the
internationally famous “Icheon Ceramics Festival” held every year.
Works of pottery are displayed, and there are also pottery classes,
traditional kiln handling, pottery character show, and even a
parade.
Directions :
Dong (East) Seoul Bus Terminal -> Icheon
First Bus 06:10, Last Bus 21:40 / 15 minute intervals / 1 hour
travel time.
Icheon -> Icheon Ceramics Village
Take a bus headed to Saeum 2(i)-dong, and get off at Saeum
2(i)-dong.
From Icheon Intercity Bus Terminal, take a bus bound for Icheon
Ceramics Village.
