Jeongseon-gun is the
backcountry in Gangwon-do with altitudes of over 1000 meters. Donggang
River flowing right through Jeongseon-gun is a popular spot for
rafting. Jeongseon-gun presents exquisite scenery surrounded by
mountainous.

Gangwon Land Casino

Description :
Gangwon Land Casino was Korea’s first casino ever to allow the
admission of Koreans. It was established upon the ‘Special law
regarding support for the development of abandoned mine areas,’ which
was passed in 1995 with the purpose of resuscitating the economy of
such abandoned mine areas. Gangwon Land is a hotel resort with 199
rooms at present, priding over its superior casino facilities with 480
slot machines and 30 tables. Between year 2002 and 2003, it is
planning to add more casino games, which would result in a total of
1,600 slot machines and 80 tables in the main Casino, as well as build
a 472-room hotel and a 200-room condominium, and a ski resort and a
golf course are in the works as well.

* Take the Gangwon Land Shuttle Bus from Gohan Train Station (10
min.) or take a taxi (10 min.)
* Take a taxi from the Gohan Express Bus Terminal (10 min. / Fee:
approx. 5,000 won)
Information :
1. Table games: Money exchange is available at the cashier
situated within the game room. The games are played using chips
exchanged directly from the dealer at the game table.

Donggang river rafting
Address : 155 Bangjeol-ri, Yeongwol-eup, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do
Description :
Yeongwol’s Donggang River (river length: 60km) in Gangwon-do is
often compared to China’s Gyerim River, with its own picturesque
scenery, and is generally recognized as one of the best rafting
courses for beginners and family rafting in Korea. The best Donggang
River rafting course, Arayeon Valley, has many fish such as the
hwang-ssogari (considered a natural treasure), and a lot of animals
such as otters, flying squirrels, and owls. The Donggang river rafting
has no strong currents and a lot of people come to enjoy boat games
during the course, which makes it a great all-day leisure and sporting
course.

pick you up.
