Mae Hong Son

Cradled in mist shrouded forested mountains on the Burmese border, this superb hill retreat is both readily accessible and enticingly remote.  Lying west of Chiang Mai and geographically more remote than Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son is one of the most enchanting towns in the entire North. Mae Hong Son is served by flights from Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and the ease of getting there is complemented   by a good choice of accommodations.
